Telecom plus is a London-based multi-utility providing company founded in 1996. The company was started as a telecommunication service provider, with a single flagship device called "Smart Box." The device provided an alternative, least-cost routing to your calls compared to London Telecom.

The company currently provides discounted utility services, including electricity, gas, landline, broadband, and mobile services. All the products are sold under a single brand, "Utility Warehouse."

Telecom Plus is one of the biggest utility service providers outside the major suppliers in England, with an estimated annual sales revenue of $1.13 billion and over 800,000 customers. The company is also listed on London Stock Exchange and is a member of the FTSE 200 index. Through sustainable growth strategies, Telecom Plus has only grown throughout its years in business and is projected to see more growth in the upcoming years.

The company mainly gains its customers through direct-selling marketing strategies- word-of-mouth, specifically through its 45,000 plus sales representatives, also called UW partners. The UW partners pay a specific fee as they obtain their membership with a 90-day money-back guarantee. Afterward, they can earn commissions based on customers they get to sign up and on their recruits' sales.

Telecom Plus resells various services to its customers at a discounted price. Following are all the product lines included in the company's Utility Warehouse program:

Phone & Broadband

Includes landline calls at a discounted price, a free wireless broadband router, and unlimited data. You also get free weekend calls to any UK-based landline and free landline calls to other Utility Warehouse customers. The packages are divided into three categories: Standard Broadband, Ultra Fibre Broadband, and Ultra + Fibre Broadband.

Mobile

The mobile contracts consist of limited data plans at discounted prices. However, what makes it unique is that the package's prices are guaranteed not to increase during the contract period, and the user can always switch to a different plan anytime. The company also sells its mobile phones on a monthly repayment plan.

Energy

Includes electricity and gas services at discount prices compared to other service providers in the country, saving the users hundreds of pounds annually. There are also multi-service packages provided by the company, namely Gold Energy, Gold Talk, and Double Gold, each consisting of different service packages with additional utilities.

Telecom Plus Plc's Compensatin Plan Type is Unilevel

In the unilevel plan, which is used by Telecom Plus Plc, all directly sponsored members who are recruited by the Telecom Plus Plc independent distributor are placed under him/her into a single business level. Additional levels are then created as those sponsored members build teams.

The uni-level compensation plan typically will payout on several levels below the distributor, depending on his/her rank.

For example, new Telecom Plus Plc distributors who are just starting out may only earn commission on the sales volume of their directly sponsored team members or level one. Once they achieve a higher career rank, they may earn commission on levels below their directly sponsored team members. Future rank advancements may include additional levels of commissions earned farther down their sponsor tree.

Considerations when choosing an electricity direct selling company.

Customer value - The more valuable the offering is, the easier it is to sell. Customers want a guarantee that the electricity or energy product they’re going to be getting is better for them or at least competes with their previous company. One way to convince them is through a valuable offering.

Customer Support - You’ll need help, and when you do, you need to be sure that support is available and easy to access. You also want to be sure that the support is also readily available.

Product Training - Be sure that the company has tools that help you get started and offers guidance and training to help you run your business. Selling electricity or energy plans may seem complicated at first, but you have a better chance of success with the proper training.
