L'Occitane
L'Occitane is a French company specializing in manufacturing fragrances, body care products, and cosmetics. The history of this company began with Olivier Baussan's purchase of a distillation still. He was extracting rosemary essential oil from the distillation sometime in 1976.
After a few years, he gathered most of the essential oils that form the base of L'Occitane's products today. These ingredients include verbena, shea butter, and lavender. L'Occitane values authenticity, and its natural ingredients can be traced; its products also appeal to the senses through touch and fragrance.
With 170 stores in the United States, L'Occitane has stores in over 90 countries, including North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa. To test its products' effectiveness and quality, no human or animal was used as a test subject, except for beehive products, in its manufacturing process. Most of L'Occitane's ingredients and products are developed per the ECOCERT's requirements for organic cosmetics.
One factor that makes L'Occitane unique is that they use natural, high-quality, traceable ingredients to create sensual, soothing, and eco-friendly products. Each product is a sensory experience that transforms the typical bathing practice by fusing healthy textures with alluring smells!
Due to the company's emphasis on the environment, L'Occitane is committed to sustainability and conservation. The company uses natural ingredients that are harvested without endangering the environment. It has helped to safeguard 150 plant species since 2008 and is striving to protect Provencal lavender from the effects of climate change. Even almond trees were returned to Provence thanks to L'Occitane!

L'Occitane's Compensatin Plan Type is Unilevel
In the unilevel plan, which is used by L'Occitane, all directly sponsored members who are recruited by the L'Occitane independent consultant are placed under him/her into a single business level. Additional levels are then created as those sponsored members build teams.
The uni-level compensation plan typically will payout on several levels below the consultant, depending on his/her rank.
For example, new L'Occitane consultants who are just starting out may only earn commission on the sales volume of their directly sponsored team members or level one. Once they achieve a higher career rank, they may earn commission on levels below their directly sponsored team members. Future rank advancements may include additional levels of commissions earned farther down their sponsor tree.
